In case you wandered here "by accident" - FYI I am cancelling the big to-do 50th Birthday party I have been planning and saving up for the last 5 years. I have decided instead to start a “Fulfill a Wish Fund” to help my sister Shirley make a dream of hers a reality, to see the Grand Canyon. If you were planning on helping me to celebrate my milestone birthday next year, I ask you to instead consider helping me with this goal of sending her there for the trip of a lifetime.

Shirley has been battling Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma for many years and between bouts of chemo and antidepressants – she fantasizes about being well enough to see the Grand Canyon someday. I think with your help, we can get her there! But where and how long the stay is and etc depends on how much we can put away in the “Fulfill a Wish Fund” beyond the monies I had began to set aside for my party.

let's get it started!

Okay I have to get off my behind and start to get this going! its 2012 the year I turn 50.

So if you were looking forward to wishing me a happy 50th birthday this year (either to gloat, tease or genuinely congratulate me on this milestone bday) and you are sitting around waiting for your party invitation, don't hold your breath,  it won't be coming...  we are going to take Shirley to the Grand Canyon instead!   Please consider helping me in this endeavor, I know I can't afford to do it on my own.  More info to come as I start to research costs and routes and etc.  Let me know if you want to contribute... 6 months and counting... xoxox Sandi
